Born in Ireland in Monaghan, Co. Monaghan, resided in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, and Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
First and second level education in Ireland. Emigrated to the U.S. in 1959 and college in the U.S.
Father of one daughter and three sons.
Married to Mary Ellen Welch and residing in Randolph.
Active in numerous Irish organizations. Past President and a Director of the Irish Cultural Centre Inc. Chairman of the Centre's Annual Festivals.
